How to
Try to start Task Manager and stop explorer. Then from the Task Manager click on File and then Run. Browes to your Trojan remover location and execute it.

I'm having the exact same problem
I finally gave up on all of these fixes and decided to reload Vista from scratch. It sucks, but it works! You may need to do the same. If explorer is screwed up beyond repair, no fix in the world is going to help. Unless, of course, your a programmer and know how to rebuild explorer from scratch. Good Luck!

The easiest and most thorough way to get this program working is to use the "safe mode command prompt."

I want to use my brand new windows mail program and want to get my mail from my premiere yahoo account and have done to the "letter" their pop3 and smtp insturctions to no avail. At one point it tried to take it but then sent it on and just looped. What is going on and what am I missing? Yahoo help center is a joke. I am so upset --please somebody help. Msrita

Windows Explorer stops working, restarts, and repeats process
I recently started having problems with the Windows Explorer after picking up some sort of bug that Norton does not recognize. Windows pop up that say it has stopped working and then that it is restarting. After this, Programs seem to run fine regardless, but the taskbar and desktop icons are continuously disappearing and reappearing. Any spyware protection or fix for this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

go to google
download the free avg.
that'll find the bug.
i hope its not the 'kit tools' bug, with no known antivirus.
its rare but i'v redone 3 computers with it. a full reinstall of windows is the only cure, if the
bug doesn't take out the harddrive.
