My cd/dvd/rw player -icon doesn't
I just upgraded my one year old Dell from XP to Vista, and everything seems to work fine, but only station C: and discdrive A: shows in my computer window. How can I get the CD/DVD-drive-icon to show up as well? When I check the driver it seems to be OK. The sound from the web and iTunes is OK, but I can't get the CD/DVD station working....

Hi
if possible check the manufacturers website and see if there's a firmware update for the device.

Hi KJN

Have a look at the following link that might help:

You can no longer access the CD drive or the DVD drive, or you receive an error message after you remove a CD recording program or a DVD recording program in Windows XP: "error code 31"
