Flight Simulator x
I installed FSX on my desktop but it does not work. My Pc is a Gateway FX530XT.

The program works on my laptop , Gateway NX 860 XL.

I have tried all that Gateway and Microsoft suggested, but with no luck.

Has any one experienced such a problem with FSX.

Desmond

Hi destangd

Wecome onboard.

Did FSX install from both discs o.k.?
Have you also installed the FSX Service Pack 1? It does the following:

Flight Simulator X Service Pack 1

Aspiring aviators can now prepare to fly higher and faster, as Microsoft Game Studios is happy to announce that the first service pack for the AIAS award-winning Flight Simulator X is now available. Service Pack 1 will:
  • Provide a 20 to 50 percent performance increase
  • Optimize for multi-core CPUs and improve draw times for faster loading
  • Address multiplayer and backwards compatibility issues
  • Offer improved realism of key geographical locations, landmarks and airports
You can get it at this link:

Flight Simulator X Service Pack 1

Finally, is FSX icon showing as installed in the "Games" link on your start page and have you tried to load from this?(ensure disc 1 is in DVD drive) If not try it!!
