Hello everyone, new to this site, and kind of glad I've found it.
My first annoying issue with my Acer Ferrari 5000 vista loaded laptop
is that I can't change my desktop background.
Once I've turned off my laptop all my changes dissapear, so upon booting up the system I get the annoying Ferrari background complete with ferrari engine sound.
Any idea how to stop this so I can permantly change my background?

Hi and welcome to the forum. As to your problem, usually changing the desktop or themes is done by right-clicking on the desktop and clicking personalise, its here you can make the changes. You say though that you have already tried this, that means the theme is turned on by default. I would check your documentation that came with the laptop or website. You could also check your add and remove programs and as kjanx says, if its there delete it. Let us know how you get on and enjoy the forum.
