OK this is the first time I try to do this and need some help.

I have a desktop running windows VISTA ultimate and a laptop running windows vista home premium and both connect to the INTERNET with a nergear wireless-n router .

this is what I need to figure out how to do .
I want to access each PC hard disk from each PC so I can transfer files in a secure way .

how I can do this ?

Hi!! This person has a lot of good tips on securing your wireless network..... http://Chris.Pirillo.com/2008/01/24/...eless-network/ I'd want to transfer disk files using encryption, I don't think you can encrypt on a Home Premium. (You might want to check.)

Hi gambler690

Have a look at the "laplink everywhere 4" guide and see if it helps:

Re: setup a wireless connection
If you open up the Help and support in the Vista menu, and type in the search box "Setting up a home network", it will tell you very precisely, everything you need to know.
Maybe you will find it a little too detailed, but the help and support function is an absolute goldmine and will answer most of the questions which appear on sites.
