Can't add domain user to local folder permissions
Hello all,

I keep running into this problem on my vista business machines. I will try to add a domain account to a local folders security list and when I hit check name it will tell me that it can't find that user. When I hit advanced it tells me that "The server is not operational". All my DNS settings are good, the time on my machines and the DC server is the same. Im running out of ideas, and I think there is a tear welling up as we speak.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi!!! I think I may have found something that can help. It's an article entitled "Geek to live: How to assign a domain name to your home web server" --- You'll find this article on the Internet listed exactly as titled. If you can't find help there, write us back. Sincerely, Celestra
