no audio problem
Hi all, i read all your posts looking for an answer to the same problem, luckily i have found the answer elsewhere and it solves the v annoying issue within minutes, which is highly frustrating as like all of you i have spent hours trying to solve!

Simply! Go into device manager and select sound, then right click and select properties.
Then select the driver tab from the top and click on unistall (advanced) and follow through the instuctions.
Reboot your system and allow windows to find new hardware and install the driver. (make sure your connected to the net for windows to download driver)

Problem solved! Hope this helps

Hey I did everything from "Uninstalling" and "Rebooting" I downloaded a ass load of drivers that don't work for my system. Guess what it still says the same thing... I even reset my Bios! Still nothing! I'm about a few seconds from seeing how well this computer can bounce.

How to solve the problem
Hey, I had the same problem with the audio as it kept saying "no audio ouput device installed."

First uninstall the sound drive by going to device manager and click on sounds. Then click the device tab and click uninstall. Then restart your computer.

Then go to Sony eSupport - Electronics and click on software and ers. Then type in your model number and on the next page click "original". Then look for "SigmaTel® High Definition Audio CODEC" and download and run it. Then restart your computer and your audio will work fine.
