| Vista Shortcut Icon I bought a new computer that came loaded with Windows Vista. I would like to know if anyone knows of a way to remove the shortcut icon overlay on my desktop icons. I have tried a few programs as well a few registry files. Some seem to work at first but after a reboot all of my icons look to have a black box overlay. Can anyone inform me how to accomplish this?  |

| You can download a program called Vista Manager. It also has many other things built in with it. I got rid of the shortcut icon on my desktop icons with it. |
