Hi,

i am too worried about this VISTA home basic edition... for my personal Dell Vostro 1500 laptop... is this SP1 is going to solve all the problems??

Not sure if I should comment here but I went ahead and installed SP1 and I must say, it is great to have it working. Obtained the SP1 a few weeks back or whenever the final version "first came out" and the thing would not even extract properly!! The extraction would just hang and then send like literally 30 or 40 error messages to Microsoft. But everything seems to be working great now. Obviously everyone would not be so fortunate, hence why the free customer service site setup by MS for SP1
