Hi

Anyone out there running Windows Home Server 2008???????
Give us your thoughts on how well it functions.
Did you know that there is a Windows Home Server Bug Fix Available In Beta. See

Windows Home Server Bug Fix Available In Beta -- Microsoft -- InformationWeek

The beta is for testing prior to the release of Windows Home Server Power Pack 1.
I have signed up for it and will post progress as it happens.

Re: Windows Home Server 2008
I got it from MS and installed it. I normally operate a very customised and slimmed down Vista Ultimate. I have to say that, in spite of Web praise of its better speed, I could not detect the slightest difference in my own private benchmarking.
It seemd to be Vista without the frills - which I have already got!

Re: Windows Home Server 2008
Interesting since like you I believe I had heard it was supposed to be really fast, right? Now my question would be where someone arrived at that conclusion and with what equipment? Oh well, maybe the next version will be even better. So in your looks at this, what does it offer besides the normal stuff?
