On a more serious note...a quality PSU is essential to a stable PC.

As you rightly say though if your power supply isn't right then there's going to be tears..

I must admit I feel much better with a larger one than I do with a smaller one. Plenty means more when you need it, right?

I think they hooked up these test PSU's to the National Grid to get that effect.
Pity they did not identify the culprits
Could have been any make and maybe even some of their own "surplus to requirements".

I agree. Until recently i never really gave the PSU much thought in my system.
When i recently built a new high(ish) end pc i fitted a Coolermaster Real Power 1250watt PSU. The cost was pretty high but well worth it as it has a lot of features.
