I had this problem this morning with Vista!!

SOLUTION : from my tech guy at Toshiba!!

- switch of laptop.
- Remove battery.
- Hold down power button for a few seconds.
- Re insert battery.
- Power Up and VOILA!!!

I'm in the game again....
