windows explorer has stopped working I really regret having chosen a laptop with Vista installed for travelling (I live in Hong Kong and I have to move to LIsbon for about 6 months) instead of a Macintosh. In 15 years of working with Macintosh i never had a problem with installation, a virus or some other problem.
My new COMPAC HP Presario B1200 came with Vista system installed. First it cames with a terrible version of Office 2007- All the set up for word or excel has changed, very difficult to work with.
Finally yesterday the windows update asked me to download some update but I have to choose between two versions, one for 32 bit or another for 64 bit. Really i dont understand why it cannot check automatically the version that is compatible with the system I have!!?? Are the puter becaming less inteligents? Well, After downlading and installing the version that looks more compatible it asked me to restart the computer and I did. SURPRISE - I am getting a random message saying WINDOWS EXPLORER HAS STOPPED WORKING any time i restart the computer, and I can't see the desktop icons or the toolbar.
Can I get someone help me to make it working properly?
Why Microsoft Vista doesnt have an online version to repair instead of testing a new program update that compelitely crashes your system???
I really miss my Macintosh. PC with Vista is a frustration... |
